The Qlik February 2020 release has been delayed by a couple of weeks due to a security vulnerability that recently surfaced with Node.js, which is impacting a large portion of the software industry. The release is expected to be delivered before the end of the month, with a target date of February 25th, as Qlik is actively running tests to ensure that the February GA release is stable and not affected by this security malware.

Use the indexed data in an app

When you have created the index with Qlik Associative Big Data Index, you can use it in your app. You can connect to the data model and access the data in different ways.

Connect to the data

Creating an app in live mode

You can create a Qlik Associative Big Data Index app in live mode to query the indexed data model directly.

Extracting data with QSL

Extract the data using a load script with QSL (Qlik Selection Language). You can do this in two different modes:

  • Interactive Direct Query mode where every query the Qlik associative engine receives is passed to the Qlik Associative Big Data Index system.
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) mode in which data is extracted from Qlik Associative Big Data Index and imported into the Qlik associative engine in-memory storage.

Qlik Associative Big Data Index Selector

Connect to the data with the QABDI Selector in Qlik Sense. You can select from fields in the data model, just like any other data source.
