# Editing a master visualization

When you update a visualization in the master items, the changes will be reflected in all instances of the master visualization.

Gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:

1. Klicken Sie in der Arbeitsblatt-Ansicht in der Symbolleiste auf the Arbeitsblatt bearbeiten icon .

   Das Extras-Fenster wird auf der linken Seite angezeigt.

2. Click the Master items icon in the assets panel.

3. Click the visualization that you want to edit.

   Die Vorschau wird angezeigt.

4. Klicken Sie unten in der Vorschau auf the Bearbeiten icon.

   If the visualization is used on a sheet, a dialog is displayed to inform you that any changes to the master visualization will be applied to all its instances on the sheets.

5. Klicken Sie auf OK.

   The visualization opens for editing.

   TipphinweisSie können auch mit der rechten Maustaste auf das Master-Element und dann auf Bearbeiten klicken.

6. Make the changes you want, and click Done in the upper right corner of the visualization to finish editing.

The visualization is updated and reflected in all its instances.

TipphinweisYou can also edit a master visualization by selecting a linked visualization on a sheet, and clicking Edit in the properties panel. You must be in sheet edit mode.
