Verify connection errors when setting up a connection to QlikView in Qlik NPrinting

Possible cause  

When you are setting up a connection to QlikView in Qlik NPrinting, use the Verify connection button to ensure that all of the information that you have entered to connect to QlikView is correct. A list of checks performed and their status will appear in the Details, if any of the information is incorrect, you will see a red X next to that item in the list indicating that the test failed on that item.

Failed test Proposed action
The QlikView Desktop license is valid. Verify that the QlikView Desktop license is not missing or expired.
The Windows user running the Qlik NPrinting Engine is a local administrator.

Ensure that the Windows user running the Qlik NPrinting Engine is a local administrator.

Add the user to the Administrators group in Windows if they are not already a local administrator.

The QlikView Management Service can be reached. If the QlikView Management Service cannot be reached, verify that the port (default is 4799) is open.
The Windows user running the Qlik NPrinting Engine has access to QlikView Management Service. Ensure that the Windows user running the Qlik NPrinting Engine is in the QlikView Management API group, and part of the QlikView Administrators local group on the QlikView Management Service computer.
The Cluster ID is valid.

The Cluster ID as entered does not exist.

Verify the Cluster ID and try again.

At least one QlikView Server in the cluster can open the specified document. Verfiy that at least one of the QlikView Servers in the cluster can open the specified document.
The QlikView Server can be reached.

If the QlikView Server cannot be reached, verify that the port is open.

The Windows user running the Qlik NPrinting Engine has access to QlikView Server. Ensure that the Windows user running Qlik NPrinting Engine is part of the QlikView Administrators local group on the QlikView Server computer.
The document exists.

The document specified does not exist.

Verify the document and path are entered correctly.

The specified user can open the document.

The specified user does not have access to the document.

Verify the user permissions in QlikView.
