Report output formats

When a report is published in Qlik NPrinting, the output format is dependent on a number of factors.

The following table shows the output formats for the template types, with and without report cycling for each destination. Output formats that are shown as blank in the table are published as uncompressed filename.format files. For example, if the output format for a single Excel report called global sales was set to PDF in the publish task, the output file would be global sales.pdf. The same filename.format naming structure applies to compressed files, except that .zip is added as the file extension, for example, global sales.pdf.zip.

Cycled HTML reports are processed a little differently. When HTML reports have cycling enabled, the output format is one .zip file for each report cycle. For example, if you have a report with three fiscal years and you set the Field to cycle in the publish task to fiscal year, you will get three filename.html.zip published reports.
