Here are the highlights of the new Qlik Sense release:
Open source libraries
enigma.js and leonardo-ui are open source libraries developed on GitHub. One version of enigma.js is used in Qlik Sense 3.2 and a later version can be found on GitHub. leonardo-ui is used within Qlik Sense to provide a variety of graphical UI components. The markup of these components can be used in extensions, mashups, and widgets. Later versions of leonardo-ui can also be found on GitHub.
after-work.js, also an open source library, acts as an unified testing framework from the lowest level up to system level. It is designed to be used as a dependency while developing your code.
Visit GitHub for the latest versions or if you want to contribute to these libraries.
Transitioning from QlikView
The QlikView converter allows you to transfer work from existing QlikView documents into Qlik Sense.
- Custom components are now officially supported.
- You must update custom components created and used in widgets before version 3.2.
- You can now have several versions of the same custom component in Qlik Sense.
- You must now define the dependency between widgets and the custom components they are using.
