Advanced Qlik Web Connectors installation

The advanced installation sets up the Qlik Web Connectors with authentication and multiple users. The last step, to set up the Qlik Web Connectors to run as a Windows service, is optional, but we recommend that you complete it to ensure that the Qlik Web Connectors are running whenever Windows is running.

  1. Check the system requirements

    Before you begin, make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements.

  2. Do a basic installation

    Install the Qlik Web Connectors on a single machine.

  3. Enable user authentication

    By default, the Qlik Web Connectors have user management and authentication disabled. To allow multiple users to access the Qlik Web Connectors and to control user access with authentication, you need to configure some deployment settings.

  4. Create an SSL certificate

    You need to create a certificate authority and bind it to the port that you are running the Qlik Web Connectors on.

  5. Set up Qlik Web Connectors to run as a Windows service

    After you complete this step, the Qlik Web Connectors will run automatically when WIndows starts.

    Please note that this step is not required to complete the advanced installation, although it is recommended.
